You can't change what happened, but you can change what is happening in you.

You deserve to wake up feeling hopeful, energized, and at peace. Therapy is about achieving lasting change that improves your quality of life now and in the future. You may be looking for a therapist to talk to, but more importantly, you are looking for someone who can help you achieve change. My approach is empathetic while being goal-oriented. I am not here to sugar-coat it, but I will work with you to help you achieve whatever life changes you are looking to make. Maria Boublil

MACP, RCC, CCTP*

My focus is to support you in implementing changes to improve your quality of life by using scientifically researched and validated interventions. I believe that knowledge is power. My goal is to help you gain an understanding of why you are feeling the way you are and more importantly what you can do to improve your mental health. I specialize in helping you overcome current life challenges and past events that are holding you back from experiencing relationships and life fully. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I have seen the impact that adverse events can have on our mental wellbeing.

I am particularly interested in looking at how nutrition can be used to improve mood and brain health, and how to reconstruct neural pathways disrupted by stress and trauma. I look at incorporating treatments that offer a long-term solution. This includes an integrative approach that incorporates principles of neuroscience, physiology, and psychology.

My training includes a wide range of therapies and neuro-physiological interventions. I have over 20 years of experience that spans business consulting, conflict resolution, and counselling. However, my approach is also guided by my personal experiences of trauma, loss, and life challenges. I have experienced counsellors that have changed my life and others that have left me feeling stuck.

It is this point of reference that guides my approach. My focus is to help you achieve lasting change. Life challenges are outside of our control, how we handle them is within our control. Mental wellbeing is not just about overcoming crisis, it is foundational to overall health and fulfilment.

Goal-Oriented Therapist for Teens and Young Adults | ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma, and Emotional Growth

I focus on empowering teens and young adults to overcome the challenges they face and achieve meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or just the everyday pressures of growing up, I am here to provide concrete tools and strategies that will help you build a brighter, more confident future.
What I Offer: My approach is both goal-oriented and compassionate. I work alongside my clients to identify specific goals and equip them with the tools they need to reach those goals. I provide a safe space to process feelings and experiences while actively working on practical solutions to move forward. Whether it’s managing stress, improving focus, or building confidence, we’ll work together to create real, practical strategies that fit your life. Therapy shouldn’t be a one size fits all model; all our treatment plans and sessions will be tailored to best fit your personalized goals and needs.
I use a combination of proven therapeutic techniques, including:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping you challenge negative thoughts and build healthier, more balanced ways of thinking.
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Focusing on building emotional regulation, coping skills, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A specialized approach to trauma that helps you process and heal from past events.
These evidence-based tools empower my clients to reduce emotional distress, improve self-esteem, and develop strong coping strategies for managing life's ups and downs.

My Areas of Expertise:
• ADHD: Supporting teens and young adults in improving focus, organization, and managing impulsivity with practical, actionable strategies.
• Anxiety & Stress: Helping individuals reduce overwhelming feelings and gain control over their emotions through grounding techniques, relaxation skills, and mindset shifts.
• Trauma: Using EMDR to help process past experiences, release trauma-related stress, and move forward with greater emotional resilience.
I graduated with a Master's in Counselling Psychology and am a registered RCC. My training in ADHD, anxiety, and trauma, combined with my use of evidence-based therapies ensures that each session is tailored to meet your needs. I'm committed to helping you or your child make real progress in a way that feels manageable and effective. My approach is structured but flexible, ensuring we move toward meaningful change at a pace that works for you.
I believe in giving you more than just talk therapy—I provide concrete tools and strategies to help you implement change in your daily life. Together, we’ll work on creating a path forward that is focused, practical, and empowering.
Whether you’re struggling with school stress, social pressures, or emotional challenges, therapy can be a powerful step toward growth. I offer evening and weekend sessions, both in-person and virtual, to provide flexibility for busy schedules. Let’s work together to create a plan that helps you overcome the challenges you face.
